Who writes this stuff?

My photo
I try to keep my priorities in order: Jesus, my Andy, our children, everything else. I homeschool our boys, love to read almost all written words and have been challenged by the military life for 18 years. Right now my faulty human body is demanding a lot of attention. One day at a time, learning as much as possible every day and remembering to look for JOY when other things threaten to overwhelm.

My Blog Title Verse

"For the Lord gives wisdom. From His mouth come knowledge and understanding." Proverbs 2:6 NKJV
The Message translation puts it this way "God gives out Wisdom free, is plainspoken in Knowledge and Understanding."

Adoption Update, sort of

I had been expecting to hear from Pierre, our connection in Holland for over a week. He had been in Benin, and was supposed to get some new pictures of Little Sister for me, and an update on how the paperwork was going in the African system of bureaucracy. I waited, and wondered, and started to stress.
Then, my dad called the other day and said, "I forgot to tell you that Pierre's wife called a few days ago. He is in the hospital with Malaria"

Which explains why he hadn't E-mailed me an update, or any pictures.

It is just one delay after another, and now the poor man is in the HOSPITAL with Malaria.

So, just in case you wondered, we are still trying to bring little sister home. But September is looking less and less likely, especially since I sincerely doubt Andy would let me get on a plane and fly anywhere at this time. Maybe by October Africa will have the paperwork done, AND I will will be on some meds that work right.
One day at a time, right?

Praying for you that your body would heal. And if not heal, find a middle ground that you can live with. And, now, that your adoption will go swiftly and smoothly. Thank you for the encouragement you left on our blogs. And for praying for me when God brings me to mind. It is so refreshing to know that people do. As I was laying in bed last night, I thought of all of my blog buddies and how I already pray for so many of their needs on a regular basis. And how God has blessed me with friends like you that do the same. May He continue to bless you. I wish I could give you a hug.

Oh, Bethany!!!! I am sorry!

Although it cracks me up that your dad would "forget" to tell you that someone was in the hospital with MALARIA! lol!!! Just an everyday occurrance at the Binkley house--someone has malaria and in the hospital.

Okay, so I am hoping that the new medication works and that you get to see someone soon who can decide something positive that will end all this mess and get your life back to normal!

LOVE YOU!

Praying for you all, Bethany! So, how soon could the adoption process actually go at this point in time? What are the next steps that would have to be made and at what point in time until you have Little Sister?

I'm sure the wait is killing you!! Hope you keep feeling better and it all falls together nicely. We all know it will be in Gods time....but some times that sure doesn't make it any easier! LOL!
