Who writes this stuff?

I try to keep my priorities in order: Jesus, my Andy, our children, everything else. I homeschool our boys, love to read almost all written words and have been challenged by the military life for 18 years. Right now my faulty human body is demanding a lot of attention. One day at a time, learning as much as possible every day and remembering to look for JOY when other things threaten to overwhelm.

My Blog Title Verse

"For the Lord gives wisdom. From His mouth come knowledge and understanding." Proverbs 2:6 NKJV
The Message translation puts it this way "God gives out Wisdom free, is plainspoken in Knowledge and Understanding."

Rednecks

 Just a cute little story.
Mom is here with us right now, helping get some packing done. She is a huge blog fan - she may not write a blog, but she regularly reads them. So, today she was reading my sister-in-law's (in a long, round about way) blog, Hicks Highlights story about their "winter wonderland".  She read out loud the line, "Redneck sleigh ride". From across the room, Canaan asked, in perfect seriousness, "Who has a red neck?"

I just thought that was hilarious.
Oh, the things that kids take literally.

Poor Zion truly did have a red neck this evening. He was just a klutz all afternoon. He bumped into things several times, with the "big one" being the box that holds our tv. Somehow he managed to scrape the entire backside of his neck on thick rough cardboard. Poor little thing.

My boys... one who questions rednecks, and one who is a redneck - quite literally.

 Go figure!
