Who writes this stuff?

I try to keep my priorities in order: Jesus, my Andy, our children, everything else. I homeschool our boys, love to read almost all written words and have been challenged by the military life for 18 years. Right now my faulty human body is demanding a lot of attention. One day at a time, learning as much as possible every day and remembering to look for JOY when other things threaten to overwhelm.

My Blog Title Verse

"For the Lord gives wisdom. From His mouth come knowledge and understanding." Proverbs 2:6 NKJV
The Message translation puts it this way "God gives out Wisdom free, is plainspoken in Knowledge and Understanding."

Verbs and Nouns

There is A LOT going on around here right now. When I know more, you will know more... just trust me on that. In the meantime, prayers for wisdom, a medical miracle, paperwork impossibilities, and money to appear out of nowhere are all appreciated.
In the midst of emotional turmoil, daily life continues. Andy joked that I should be stressed beyond belief more often. Yesterday I scrubbed both bathrooms, including the tub (and those of you who have read prior blogs on this subject know that I DON'T DO TUBS), mowed and weeded the yard, homeschooled the boys, and watched the neighbor girl, all while spending about 2 hours on the internet researching and at least 2 hours on the phone with misc. people.
I read another homeschool mother's blog the other day, talking about teaching boys. When they are learning phonics, B is for boogers, not butterfly and P is for Poop, not princess. I laughed at her story, because I could totally relate. I want to add to it just a little. Canaan is past the "B is for" stage. Now he sounds out words. He just feels the need to act out each word as he sounds it out. S p i n... Spin!!! multiple twirls around the room. Next word. S p i t... spit!!! literally spit on my floor! (don't worry, I made him clean it up) Thank goodness for nouns or I would be totally exhausted by the end of every reading lesson!

That is hilarious. And, I feel your pain about bathtubs! UGH! I hate cleaning bathtubs, it is like a whole body experience to do it correctly! Needless to say, if you are going to need to come over and use our shower, give me at least a day's notice, maybe two!

Ok, seriously...how do you do that? I have one kid, just one, and I cannot get all that stuff done. My grandmother is coming to our house in a week and I'm freaking out because it's nasty, and I just cannot seem to find enough hours to get all the tasks done. Time management tips? You blog and do internet stuff too! I'm amazed, lol!! Also - praying for you guys for wisdom, miracles, and all of the above!!
