Who writes this stuff?

I try to keep my priorities in order: Jesus, my Andy, our children, everything else. I homeschool our boys, love to read almost all written words and have been challenged by the military life for 18 years. Right now my faulty human body is demanding a lot of attention. One day at a time, learning as much as possible every day and remembering to look for JOY when other things threaten to overwhelm.

My Blog Title Verse

"For the Lord gives wisdom. From His mouth come knowledge and understanding." Proverbs 2:6 NKJV
The Message translation puts it this way "God gives out Wisdom free, is plainspoken in Knowledge and Understanding."

Music for the heart

Every once in awhile, my wonderful and amazing Andy is less then stellar.
And I, being far from perfect, get my feelings hurt over some things that I probably shouldn't allow to make me cry.
In a normal marriage, that is, well, normal. But when you spouse is thousands of miles away, and can only be reached for limited amounts of time through a phone or computer, a proper fight is hard to have and seems a huge waste of time. We do our best to avoid fighting all together when he is deployed.
But I am a girl, and occasionally, I do cry. So my true love sent me a song today, a bit of an apology.
Listen to Jack Johnson's "Angel", and tell me if you could still have hurt feelings.
Not I - not when my man can find words for me that make me melt.

How very sweet...and how very hard to be so far apart. Thanks for your sacrifice for us civilian wives and husbands!

As great as all our electronic helps are for communication with our loved ones when they are gone -- it still leaves a lot to be desired!

I think they pass that "send her a song" idea around! I always loved the ones my dh picked for me too!
