Who writes this stuff?

I try to keep my priorities in order: Jesus, my Andy, our children, everything else. I homeschool our boys, love to read almost all written words and have been challenged by the military life for 18 years. Right now my faulty human body is demanding a lot of attention. One day at a time, learning as much as possible every day and remembering to look for JOY when other things threaten to overwhelm.

My Blog Title Verse

"For the Lord gives wisdom. From His mouth come knowledge and understanding." Proverbs 2:6 NKJV
The Message translation puts it this way "God gives out Wisdom free, is plainspoken in Knowledge and Understanding."

Surgery

Self portrait

Tomorrow is a big day for my little man.
Remember the afternoon we spent in the ER a few months ago? That really was never resolved completely, or in a way that made me happy. In other words, the underlying problem never went away. So when we got fairly well settled "up here" I took  him to the local pediatrician. She immediately set us up with a referral to a pediatric urologist. We saw him on Earth day, April 22nd.
 That was 11 days ago.
Canaan has surgery scheduled for tomorrow. Things have moved quickly.

It is a fairly simple procedure, so I am told. I won't go into too many details, but we are supposed to be out of the hospital in approximately 5 hours, once surgery actually gets started. Sounds pretty cut and dried (forgive the pun) to me.

I am just slightly stressed because he has to be "knocked out", and I think that is my job to worry, right? So, I am giving him extra kisses tonight, and placing him in my Savior's hands.
And since we have to leave the house at 6:30 in the morning, I am heading to bed.
 Blessings, Bethany

The speaker at the ladies' brunch said something that I identified with quite well...she said, "You know, I have this job of helping God out by worrying and pacing, it's what I do to help Him get things going along..."
ha ha. That's so me, but so not you, so just get some sleep and before you know it this time tomorrow will be here and your baby will be asleep in his own bed again and he will be feeling 150%!

I agree with Carrie, she knows how to say it!

Love you More,
Andy

I will be praying for him and you. I know it is hard for anyone to just hand their baby over to a surgeon and let them 'put them to sleep'. We have been through that too many times! I hope everything goes well and I love you.

We had so much fun hanging out with Zion today! He was such a sweetie this morning and so well behaved! No crying or fussing or misbehaving in any way whatsoever! Easy to feed and cute as can be!
Can't wait to see the pictures I know you took today! We will try to come visit tomorrow if Canaan is feeling up to it!
