Who writes this stuff?

I try to keep my priorities in order: Jesus, my Andy, our children, everything else. I homeschool our boys, love to read almost all written words and have been challenged by the military life for 18 years. Right now my faulty human body is demanding a lot of attention. One day at a time, learning as much as possible every day and remembering to look for JOY when other things threaten to overwhelm.

My Blog Title Verse

"For the Lord gives wisdom. From His mouth come knowledge and understanding." Proverbs 2:6 NKJV
The Message translation puts it this way "God gives out Wisdom free, is plainspoken in Knowledge and Understanding."

A couple of things to think about...

I was sent a link to this free rice page over a year ago, and played the game a lot for awhile. I had forgotten about it until I saw it on a friends page again a few days ago. I wanted to pass the link along. Please check it out. You can increase your vocabulary and help feed the world's hungry, just by clicking your mouse. What do you have to lose?
Secondly, it is time for Operation Christmas Child again. I have packed a shoe box for years now. It is very simple. It doesn't take much time. It doesn't take much money. It does have the potential to make a huge difference. For some of these children, this will be the only Christmas present they receive. Please, pray about it. Have your children pray about it. Then give with an open heart.

Great recommendations! Operation Christmas Child is one of my favorite mission projects. In fact, I was just writing on ltginfaith.blogspot.com about putting together an all Sunday school program to kick off our collection. I welcome any ideas.

If you go over, you may also want to check out my post on http://justcallmewoman.blogspot.com/2008/09/sometimes-we-forget-how-blessed-we-are.html about voting for the best video related to the UN Food Program. I found it when I was playing my Free Rice vocabulary game. DS's favorite subject in Free Rice is the art.

Wow, I just got up to 1720 grains of rice! I had to stop because the words were blurring together, but boy did I enjoy it. I will revisit that site often. About OCC, we watched a video about it at church last night. You know I was teary eyed watching it, and Ansley got a little emotional herself. She said she wanted to make a box. I think I will let all of the kiddies do one and then the adults around here as well. I can't think of a better way to start the Christmas season! I hope you are doing well and having a great week. Love you, Chrissy
